Meet the Staff

Hi! My name is Kim and I have been on staff with Campus Crusade for 6 years. I am from suburban Chicago and graduated from Illinois State with a degree in elementary education. I love watching the Cubs win, Germany, good conversation, seeing God change lives, meeting new people, and traveling around the world. I am so glad to be here working with Indiana Cru!!

Hi! My name is Kari! My hometown is Northbrook, IL, but I have come to love Indy and call it my home. I went to Butler University and graduated with an Elementary Education degree in May 2007. That summer I joined staff with Campus Crusade for Christ and have never looked back. I’ll be working with students at Butler and U of Indy, which I am SO excited about! Some of my favorite things include God’s WORD, meeting new people, coffee, cultures and traveling, and many other things. I would love the chance to get to know you!

Rick was on staff with Crusade when he met Deborah at Florida State University. He picked her up in an original VW Beetle, their eyes locked in the rear view mirror and it was love. They married in 1971–so they are vintage staff!

Kelly went to Indiana University where she was a gamma phi beta. She has been on staff with CRU for 12 years and loves her job! She has two very active and amazing boys named Alex and Jensen. She loves coffee shops, chic flicks and ice cream (even though she’s lactose intolerant).

Heya Dudes! My name is Matt and I’m a recovering hypocrite. I love reading and writing, wings and football, coffee, tea, good conversation, playing my guitar, and anything outdoors. Honestly I love just about anything and more than likely you as well. Oh… and I graduated from IUPUI with degrees in Political Science and Religion. It was in college that I learned just how important God’s Word is and how by following God we can truly know what it means to live the abundant life.

We’re Mark and Emily and we’ve been on staff with Campus Crusade for 9 years. We love working with college students and being on the college campus because of how God changed and shaped our lives while we were in school. We recognize the choices and decisions that are being made during the four years in college and how those choices will influence the next 60-70 years of a person’s life. Our desire is to engage students with the Truth of God’s Word and help each student understand how to “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord.” (Colossians 1:10)

Hello! My name is Melanie. I really enjoy cowboy boots, anything girlie, sweet tea, good food, music, adventure, and anything that brings me peace(this sounds like E-harmony…haha). I just graduated last year from IUPUI with a degree in Religious Studies, and am now interning with INDY CRU. If it was up to me everyone would sleep in until 11a.m., would be able to eat anything without gaining weight, and be true followers of Jesus! I’m super super super excited about this year and can’t wait to see how God is going to move on these college campuses.

I’m Derek. I graduated from the University of Illinois and have been on staff there and at Northern Illinois University before coming out to Indy. I’ve been on staff 7 years, and it took me that long to find my beautiful bride, Lacey. She’s a nurse, and God willing, will be joining the Cru staff come January. I get excited about the Bible, missions, godly manhood, weight lifting, good food, fast cars, our pit bull, and hard rock ‘n’ roll. We can’t wait to see how Jesus will build his Church through Indiana Cru.

Hey, I’m Ross. My wife, Natalie, and I got married last year. I’m from Missouri and she’s from O-H (I-O) so Indy is a great compromise. I help out at IUPUI, Butler and Ivy Tech (usually in that order) while Natalie is in the regional office. If it was up to me, every day would start with coffee and a newspaper.
